Our Approach
Therapy sessions focus on your child's unique goals in an engaging and fun way. The goal is to improve your child’s well-being and empower them to communicate more confidently with the world around them.
Most therapy sessions are 30 minutes and include parent coaching and consultation.
Sessions include:
Parent coaching and consultation to review progress and provide simple strategies for carry-over at home
Recommendations and progress reports that you can share with your child’s school to advocate for your child’s success academically and socially
Fun therapy activities tailored to your child’s interests and needs
Communication between sessions by email and text support to answer any questions you have regarding your child’s communication
Comprehensive Evaluations
An assessment will be completed to establish baseline information about your child’s communication skills and areas of need. Each assessment is individualized and may include a combination of screenings, formal evaluations, and review of school and medical records.
Depending on your child’s specific needs, an evaluation may include:
Assessment of your child’s speech sound development
Evaluation of expressive language (how your child uses language) and receptive language (how your child understands language)
Analysis of your child’s play and social preferences to support self-advocacy and development of individualized goals
Recommendations to improve your child’s communication based on individual strengths, weaknesses and preferences
